Day 3: Rimini

The next day we decided to make a day trip to some outlaying town nearby Macerata. Bologna was the proposed destination, where we could have crashed with a friend of Jose's, but plans changed and we decided to make for the beach town of Rimini.

Map of Italy. Rimini was the destination.

Rimini is a relatively small city which attracts 1000's of tourists every year for its vast and beautiful beaches. Dating back to the time of the Etruscan and Celt settlements, it is situated right on the Adriatic Sea, a few hours drive north from Macerata. It is also a direct neighbour of the independent Republic of San Marino, a nation within the nation of Italy.

I decided to drive to Rimini, while the boys drank Italian wine the whole way... asses haha... With Big Brother's help, we made our way along the Italian coastline to Rimini. Once here we hit the beaches, played some football, and just relaxed in the nice sun. After we went to a Pizzeria for supper before heading back to Macerata. Unfortunately all the clubs were closed that nite due to Italian Independence Day, so we got ice cream instead, invited some people back to our place and just had a few drinks before heading to bed. Below are the photos from this day.
