Day 4: Walking tour of Venice

Here you can see many beautiful photos of the city of Venice. The old city is small enough that you can easily walk around and enjoy the sites in a few hours. We continued to explore Venice on foot until we arrived in San Marco's Piazza.

Pics from the walking tour of Venice

Our first real look upon Venice, taken from the parking garage where we packed the car. The parking fee was very expensive!

Another shot of Venezia from above.

The Grand Canal is very busy.

The boys on a bridge spanning the Canal.

The "streets" of Venice.

People own boats instead of cars!

A church in Venice.

Gondolas. The guy with the funny hat on the right is the Gondola driver. Romantic!

I wonder what the speed limits are in the waterways?? Can you get a speeding ticket??

The stonework looks impressively old...

The streets of Venice.

A statue dedicated to some saint or early leader.

What happens in winter I wonder?? Does everyone use ice skates?

More gondolas.

This "street" is very narrow... One way??

Part of another church.

This is a museum dedicated to Leonardo Di Vinci.

More streets. A very busy place...

Another shot of the Grand Canal.

Venice Clock Tower.

Check out the pics from San Marco's Piazza.
